Nee, het is géén Roland Garros, of Wimbledon / No, this is NOT Roland Garros, or Wimbledon

Het is géén scheidsrechter op een hoge stoel bij een tenniswedstrijd, maar….wat het dan wel is…? Nou, het is de onderkant van een speciaal stoeltje voor mijn mini Opa. Aangezien mijn echte opa er zo een had in de woonkamer, heb ik geprobeerd om dat stoeltje in de afgelopen weken na te maken in miniatuur.
Op de bovenstaande foto kunnen jullie de onderkant van de zitting zien, terwijl Koos, al rokende (slechte gewoonte maar echt zó jaren ’50!) de krant leest. Althans dat lijkt zo want volgens mij zit hij gewoon te slapen 😉.

It’s NOT a referee on a high chair at a tennis match, but….what it is then...?
Well, it's the bottom of a special seat for my mini Grandpa. Since my RL grandpa had one of these in the living room, I have tried to recreate that chair in miniature during the last few weeks.
In the picture here above you can see the bottom of the seat, while Koos, while smoking (bad habit, but also soooo 50's!), reads the newspaper. At least it seems that way because I think he is just asleep 😉.

Op deze foto kun je beter zien dat er één van de springveren van de zitting door de banden aan de onderkant van de zitting heen is gekomen: je raad het al, er is een springveer gebroken! Maar ach, het is dan ook een echt oud stoeltje, hoor.

In this photo, you can better see that one of the spiral metallic springs in the seat has come through the straps on the underside of the seat: you guessed it, a spring has broken! But hey, it is really an old chair.

Op bovenstaande foto’s kun je zien dat magere Koos een echt “zwaargewicht” is, want de stoelzitting buigt écht door *LOL*! Als je goed kijkt, zie je dat hij onderuit gezakt zit, zoals wij vroeger zeiden: op het ondereinde van zijn rug in plaats van op je billen. Maar toch raken Koos zijn billen ook echt de stoelzitting, kijk maar. In die stoelzitting zitten echte, zelfgemaakte miniatuur springveren verwerkt, zie de video die ik (vóór verwerking in de stoelzitting) heb gemaakt.
Dit rookstoeltje voor mijn mini Opa is nu net vanmiddag pas afgewerkt, maar ik wil er eventueel nog wel een tutorial over gaan schrijven, als jullie dat leuk lijkt…?? Zo ja, laat me dat dan weten, het is namelijk erg veel werk.
 
On the above pictures you can see that skinny Koos is a true “heavyweight”, because the chair seat really bends downwards * LOL *! If you look closely, you can see that he is slumped in his chair, or as we used to say: sitting on the bottom of your back instead of on your buttocks. But in short, Koos' buttocks really touch the chair seat, just have a look. That chair seat really contains selfmade miniature spiral metallic springs, see the short video I made of it (before processing in the chair seat).
This smoking chair for my mini Grandpa has just been finished this afternoon, but I can write a tutorial about how I've build this chair, if you want... ?? If so, let me know, because it's a lot of work.
