Verlenging van het pad / Extension of the path

Afgelopen week heb ik niet zo heel veel in mini kunnen doen, dus dit keer een saai blog bericht, sorry ;).
Nadat de melkstoep klaar was, ben ik verder gegaan met het puinpad dat aan de noordzijde van de boerderij ligt en dan met name het stuk dat richting de voorgevel loopt. Het is op dezelfde wijze gemaakt als het melkstoepje, maar dan met uitzondering van de stukken steen en vloertegels.
 
Last week I was not able to do much in mini, so this time a boring blog post, sorry ;).
After the pavement near to the kitchendoor was ready, I continued with the rubble path that lies at the north side of the farm and than mainly the part that goes to the frontside of the farm. It’s created the same way as the pavement, but than without the brick parts and the floor tiles.

Dit gedeelte ligt op het noorden dus dat betekent dat er weinig zonlicht kwam. Zoals je kunt zien groeide er daar nogal wat mos tegen, vooral net tegen de gevel aan.

This part of the rubble path is on the northside of the farm, so there was less sunlight. As you can see, quite a bit of moss grew there, especially close to the facade.

Het was daar op de grond vlakbij/tegen de noordgevel ook altijd wat vochtiger, iets wat ik in miniatuur heb vertaald door de donkere medium van zandkleur te gebruiken (zie het bericht over de ligusterhagen). 

It was always a bit more humid too there on the ground nearby/against to the north facade, something I 'translated' into miniature by using the darker medium of sand color (see the message about privet hedges). 

Op hete zomerdagen zaten mijn grootouders (of Koos) op een keukenstoel, daar buiten in de schaduw,  na het werk van hun avond rust te genieten…

On hot summer evenings my grandparents (or Koos) were sitting there on a kitchen chair, outdoors in the shade, enjoying after work their evening rest…

Om het puin en zand enigszins te fixeren heb ik er een matte vernislaag (voor acrylverf) op gespoten. En omdat ik het erf in gedeelten na bouw in miniatuur, kun je hier dus een naad zien. Helaas droogde het puin niet overal gelijkmatig op na het vernissen…dus ook iets kleurverschil.

I sprayed the path with a matte varnish (for acrylic paint), in order to fixate the rubble and sand somewhat. And because I’m building the miniature farmyard in parts, you can see the seams to other parts. Unfortunately the rubble didn't evenly dry everywhere after spraying the varnish…so unfortunately a bit of difference in color too.
