Kleurrrijk / Colorful

Zoals ik hier al vermeld heb zijn in het voorjaar mijn échte pioenroosbloemen compleet verregend, in één dag tijd, daarom heb ik ze nagemaakt in miniatuur 1:12 schaal ;).

Last spring my RL peonies were, in just one day time, completely destroyed by the rain, that’s why I’ve made them in miniature 1:12 scale ;).

Omdat deze soort pioenrozen erg grote bloemen heeft, heb ik ze in een prachtige, grote tulpenvaas gezet, die is gemaakt door Henny Staring-Egberts. 

Zo komen ze mooi tot hun recht, vind ik.

Because this sort of peonies have huge flowers, I’ve put them in a beautiful big tulip vase, which is made by Henny Staring-Egberts. 

This way they can show their beauty well, I think.

Op de bovenstaande foto’s staan 43 bloemen in een kleine keramieken beker (óók gemaakt door Henny Staring-Egberts), deze verschillende soorten bloemen zijn in opdracht gemaakt.

Ik heb hier ongeveer anderhalf jaar aan gewerkt, het was erg veel werk om ze zo gedetailleerd te maken, ook al omdat er gecompliceerde, samengestelde bloemen tussen zitten.

Verder doe ik voor zo’n opdracht ook eerst wat studie vóórdat ik die bloemen maak, bijvoorbeeld of die bloemensoort er in de 17^e eeuw al in Nederland was.

At the above pictures you see 43 flowers in a small ceramic goblet (again made by Henny Staring-Egberts), these different sorts of flowers are custom made.

I’ve worked at this commission fora bout one and a half year, it was much work to make them with so much details, also because there are complicated, compound flowers among them.

I also like to do some study for such a commission before I make those flowers, such as: if these sorts of flowers were already in the Netherlands in the 17th century.

Ik ga de komende week weer verder met het afmaken van de resterende opdrachten voor de show, helaas heb ik hierdoor nog steeds geen tijd over om blogs te lezen en reacties achter te laten, ik hoop op jullie begrip hiervoor.

De show vindt plaats op 28 en 29 september in de Eusebiuskerk in Arnhem, mijn tafelnummer is D05.

In this upcoming week I'll continue in finishing the remaining commissions in the coming week, therefore unfortunately I still have no time left for reading your blogs and leaving comments, I'm so sorry, I hope you'll understand.
