Oliebollen / Dutch doughnuts

Oliebollen bakken is een Nederlandse traditie die al lang bestaat, want al in de 17^e eeuw stonden oliebollen op schilderijen afgebeeld, zoals je hierboven kunt zien (foto (van internet).

Baking Dutch "oliebollen" is since long a Dutch tradition, because already in the 17th century “oliebollen” were visible on paintings, as you can see here above (picture of internet).

Vandaag heb ik (zoals elk jaar) dan ook mijn eigen oliebollen en appelbeignets gebakken, volgens de voorproever smaken ze heerlijk, hihihi 😉!

 

Today, as in every year, I've also baked my own “oliebollen and appelbeignets” (=a notable variety of a “oliebol” is the appelbeignet, which contains only a slice of apple, but different from oliebollen, the dough should not rise for at least an hour), and according to the pre taster they taste delicious, hehehe 😉!

Met kerst ben ik door Birgit echt heel ernstig verwend met deze prachtige cadeaus.

Dit is mijn laatste blog bericht van dit jaar, ik wil iedereen die mijn blog leest hartelijk bedanken voor jullie belangstelling en/of  voor jullie fijne reacties. 
Laten we de jaarwisseling veilig houden met zijn allen, en leef goed de maatregelen na. Er zijn tegenwoordig zoveel (digitale) middelen om elkaar toch even te kunnen zien/spreken, dus kies daarvoor in plaats van elkaar fysiek te bezoeken. Want we zullen met zijn allen dit virus moeten bestrijden. Het virus heeft al zo veel ellende aangericht, velen hebben dierbaren verloren en/of zijn ernstig ziek geworden.
Zorg goed voor elkaar en jezelf, blijf veilig en gezond.
Ondanks alles wens ik iedereen een mooi 2021 toe, en vooral een goede gezondheid!

Let's all keep New Year's Eve safe and comply with the measures. Nowadays there are so many (digital) means to be able to see/speak to each other, so choose this instead of physically visiting each other. Because we will all together have to fight this virus. The virus has already caused already so much misery, many have lost loved ones and/or became seriously ill.
