Gewoon van een beetje katoenpluis / Just of a bit of cotton fluff

Afgelopen voorjaar, tijdens mijn bezoek aan het tuincentrum, vond ik een 'eenzame' tak van de gedroogde katoenplant en daarmee begon het: mijn zoektocht naar hoe ik dat kon namaken in miniatuur ;)!

Last spring, during my visit at the garden centre, I found one 'lonely' branch of a dried cotton plant and with that it started: my search for finding out how to make one in miniature ;)!

Na mijn eerste pogingen kwam het tijdens een opruimbeurt van mijn werktafel in een hoekje terecht en heb ik er helemaal niet meer aan gedacht. Tot ‘n paar weken geleden, nadat ik het terug vond en het weer opgepakt heb.

After my first attempts it got lost in a corner during a thorough cleanup of my work table and I didn't think about it anymore. Until a few weeks ago, after I re-found it and I've worked on it again.

Voor het katoenpluis heb ik wat van het echte pluis gebruikt, al was het alleen al voor de kleur. Je zou katoenen watten kunnen gebruiken, maar daavan is de kleur veel te helder wit.

For the cotton fluff I've used somewhat of the real fluff, because of the color. You could use cotton wool for this purpose, but the color of it is much too bright white.

Het moeilijkste was het maken van de aparte ‘bolletjes’ (2-3 mm), die samen het bloemhoofd vormen. Ik denk dat het me gelukt is…?

The most difficult part was the making of the single ‘little balls’ (2-3 mm),who are forming together the flower head. I think I succeeded…?

En het leukste is natuurlijk om na het maken met wat bloemen/planten samen te kunnen 'spelen', is het niet ;O?

Sorry, voor de mindere kwaliteit van bovenstaande foto’s, het gaat inmiddels aardig richting de winter, dus heb ik minder daglicht om mooie foto’s te kunnen maken.

And the nicest thing, of course, is after the making to play a bit with some of the flowers/plants together, isn’t it ;O?

Sorry, for the poor quality of the above pictures, but here, in The Netherlands, we are heading to the winter, so I have less daylight for making good pictures.
