In my childhood the cows on the farm of my grandfather were named after us, his grandchildren. One cow also was called: Ilona and no, I am not red haired ;)!
I still have something with red and white cows, I often see them on my walkings along the meadows here in the country. In the meanwhile I also have a miniature cow, as you probably will know. This darling cow is a magnificent artwork, she is made by Patricia of www.woolytales.blogspot.com
Echte melkkoeien moeten gemolken worden, natuurlijk! Vorig
In real life milkcows have to be milked, of course! Last
autumn I had made a miniature milking machine for Patricia and in november I
got a question of a follower of my blog, if I could make her one too. But since
I make one of a kind miniatures, I had to “invent” another type of milking
machine. This was not so simple to do, because a few parts had to be the same
(otherwise you can’t milk, huh ;)?), but I managed to make the rest of the
machine different as my first milking machine.
I took a good look at the blog of my follower and saw she
was busy with "weathering" her miniatures for her project, so I have weathered this miniature machine too :D! The sizes of the entire machine are: 8 cm heigth x 9 cm
length x 4,5 cm width.
So this milking machine has been sold, from now on I have to milk again my own miniature cow by hand ;)!!
To all my followers, I want to thank you for your kind
comments on my posts! The miniature blogworld is a great place to
share friendship and our creativity!
A warm welcome to my new followers!

I love your weathered milking machine, you have done a wonderful job!
Mmh, I think your own cow prefers that you milk her by hand in any case, after all, isn't she a bit like a pet ;-)
AM
It is amazing all you can do Ilona. A milking machine. I have never seen in miniature before, and it's the second time you make one. Impressive. So fine with wire, etc. It is so well done. I am speechless. Beautiful made.

Dear Ilona,
What a wonderful milking machine.
You did a great job "weathering" the machine. I feel free to ask you how you weathered it.

Hi Ilona!
I´m always a little excited, when I see that there´s a new post from you! Your second milk machine is gorgeous again, I like the aging very much!
When I was a teenage girl I was quite upset when I found out that my favorite aunt had a cow called "Sandra" in her stable. She told me that this was her favorite cow :-)
She still is my favorite auntie, but now I wonder: did you give your cow a name, too?
Greetings, from cold and snowy Bavaria! Hugs, Sandra
Dearie, you should be nicknamed Ileonardo! A mean milking machine??!!! What will you think of next? An Egg Picking Machine that can also fry your eggs in 8 styles? :):)

Another amazing job, Ilona! I love how you aged the milking machine and your photos too. I so agree with you--the blog world is a great place to make friends and share our creativity. We are so lucky to have found it, aren't we? :-) xo Jennifer
Lieve groetjes Mieke
Noone who would just look at the last pictures (without the cow and the match... *grin*) would ever think he's looking at a miniature. It's incredibly well done, okay, I can say that about everything you do, but the realism of this one including the aging is breathtaking. And it's always amazing that you can minimize everything and anything. I know what I'm talking about - I'm the proud owner of the most realistic beehive in miniature made by a wonderful friend. And I like Sans! newest invention - Ileonardo... ;O)
