Ik heb een opstapje voor het baby kijkkastje gemaakt en ook
dit meubelstukje is een miniatuur versie van het 1:1 BECKVÄM krukje van Ikea.
Het omrekenen van de maten was dit keer echt een precisiewerkje, ook al vanwege
de hoek waaronder de poten en onderstel van dit krukje staan. Ook nu weer heb
ik foto’s gemaakt om het bouwproces weer te geven, met hier en daar een paar
maten op papier, als leidraad.
I’ve made a stool for the baby roombox and also this piece
of furniture is a miniature version of the 1:1 BECKVÄM stool from Ikea. The
converting process of its dimensions was a very precise job this time, also
because of the angle, whereunder the legs and the lower part of this stool, is
standing. Also this time I’ve made pictures of the building process, here and
there you can spot some measurements on paper, as a leading guide.
Benodigde materiaal: stukje resthout (hoofdzakelijk 2 mm dik en 3 mm breed), lijm, heel fijn schuurpapier,
miniatuur verstekbak en –zaag.
Needed materials: leftovers of wood (mainly 2 mm thick and 3 mm wide), glue, very fine sanding
paper, a miniature mitre box and – saw.
Voor de zitting boven op
het opstapje heb ik twee stukjes hout gebruikt, waarin ik de ovale
ronding heb uitgeschuurd met een stukje schuurpapier, gewikkeld om een op maat
gezaagd en rond geschuurd latje. Zie de foto…
Na het schuren zijn deze twee delen aan elkaar gelijmd,
waardoor ze de zitting van het krukje vormen.
For the seat on top of the stool I’ve used two small parts
of wood, wherein I sanded an oval hole, using a piece of sanding paper, which
was wrapped around a fitting and round shaped sanded piece of wood. See the

After all of the sanding was done, I glued the two parts
together, which formed the seat of the stool.
Onder de zitting zit een treetje, waarvan de hoekjes
uitgespaard zijn, dus ook in de miniversie.
There's one step under the seat, of which the corners are cut
out, so I also did this for the mini version.
Voor de opbouw van het krukje heb ik al wat latjes gezaagd, maar voor de juiste maten was het hoofdzakelijk meten in (en tijdens) het werk. Dit werd veroorzaakt omdat ik moest werken onder een hoek van 5 graden, ik vond het tamelijk lastig om te doen.
For the construction of the stool I already sawed some slats at forehand, but for the most sizes it was mainly measuring in (and during) the work. This was caused by the fact that I had to work under an angle of 5 degrees, I thought was quite tricky to do.
Ik ben begonnen met het lijmen van de lange achterpoten aan
de dwarslatjes van de zitting en de tussensport, lees: de zijkanten van de kruk
zonder de voorpoten eraan.
I’ve started the gluing process with the hind legs and the
crossbars in the middle, read: the sides of the foot stool without the
forelegs.
Daarna heb ik de verbindingslatjes ertussen gelijmd. Omdat
ik al mijn vingers nodig had tijdens het lijmen en om alles op zijn plaats onder
de juiste hoek te houden, is het me helaas niet gelukt om hiervan foto’s te maken….sorry
;O! Dus hoop ik dat de bovenstaande foto’s duidelijkheid genoeg
geven.
I then glued the connecting slats in between. Because I
needed all of my fingers during gluing and for fixating everything in place
under the right angle, I unfortunately was not able to take pictures of this
process….sorry ;O! So I hope that the above pictures can give you some
clearness.

Hier is het 1:1 opstapje, op de bovenkant staat in de handgreep mijn 1:12 miniatuur versie ervan.
Ik heb dit opstapje voor een speciaal doel gemaakt, dat zal jullie later wel
duidelijk worden ;)
Here you can see the 1:1 stool, on the upper side in the handle is my 1:12 miniature version. I’ve made this stool for a special purpose, it will be clear to you later on ;)
En omdat ik toch met de verstekbak en –zaag bezig was, heb
ik gelijk fotolijstjes gemaakt voor de leuke schilderijtjes die in de kijkkast
komen te hangen.
Deze decoratieve afbeeldingen hangen ook in de babykamer van
mijn kleinzoontje.
De afbeeldingen, die ik in mini heb gemaakt, komen van zelfgemaakte foto’s,
die ik op de computer heb verkleind en uitgeprint.
And since I was already busy with the mitre box and –saw, I
made at the same time frames for the lovely images, which will go into the
roombox.
These Decorative prints also hang in the babyroom of my grandson.
The images, which I've made in miniature, came from selfmade pictures, which I’ve reduced on the computer and printed out.

Mijn volgende voorwerp voor dit baby kijkkastje is heel
