During my work in the garden I saw a beautiful flower of my
hydrangea: there were different colors of petals at ONE flower head. I decided
to cut them off and to photograph them in order to show you them. It seemed
that there had been walking around a flower fairy with her tiny box of
watercolors in my garden. Mother Nature gives us so much beauty, you just have to look
around you to see all the beauty there is, isn’t it :D?!
favoriete kleur J!
So after I was back, sitting at my work table, I decided to make miniature hydrangeas. At first I tried to make blue ones, because that’s my favorite color J!
I’ve put them in this copper colored thimble, which I’ve
recently found in the thrift store. I love the combination of these colors, it
looks nice and warm.

Boektje (http://www.hetporseleinenboek.nl/
).
I’ve once bought this beautiful porcelain vase at the DHN miniature
fair at Apeldoorn, it’s hand painted by Dieneke Boektje (http://www.hetporseleinenboek.nl/
).
She is also at the DHN miniature fair in Ulft.
dringt ;O!
Making all those tiny petals is a very time-consuming job, that's why I have made just five blue hydrangea flowers. There is one pink hydrangea almost ready, I’ve put it next to the blue one in my self made flower basket.
Well, I’m going back to work, still lots to do and time flies
;O!
A warm welcome to my new followers and thank you all for your
nice comments about Nina.
And yes, Jennifer: I think I’ll take her with me to
the miniature fair in Ulft.
I wish you all a nice week :D!

I've got in my garden . You are so right. Mother nature is full of wonders.
They are beautiful! I could not figure out yet how to use Google Friends, but it will sure come soon!
The blue ones are my favourite too. I really wish I could visit the fair to see them in person. Your work is stunning, as always =0)
one word: superb
I admire the work in watercolor, both for flowers than leaves that give the impression to capture light
sunny sweet Dreams

Oh my goodness, so tiny yet how real they look. You have incredible patience making these beautiful flowers! Wet and windy weather here at the moment, perfect weather for a crackeling fire and indoor projects. Blessings, Pam in Norway xx

Dear Ilona,
You are simply amazing, you know it? Such perfect details.. Your hydrangeas are just beautiful! I don't know how you work so small.. What a great idea to put them in a thimble. And I love the miniature vase also.

You're right Ilona, fairies watercolourists there are really. I have seen the leaves fairies' job on trees, are really know how to do it. Are you sure, that these beautiful hydrangeas, their tiny buds and soft petals in wonderful nuances of blue - have you done without their help??
Groetjes Thea
I am always amazed by the variety of colours on one tiny hydrangea petal, nature is so amazing!! Your miniature hydrangeas are a work of art Ilona...totally exquisite!!! And I love the little basket you've put them in!! Hugs ♥ Vicky ♥

Hallo Ilona,

Your hydrangeas are amazing. I like the colors.
The flower fairy in your garden is a brilliant watercolour artist - you know ours is more the type for deep blue in just one sweep... *LOL* I'm glad this special RL-hydrangea made you start with Ilona-mini-versions. They're incredibly real (as everything made by you) and I must emphasize that it's not only the perfect blossom but also the very delicate colouring of the green leaves that adds to a breathtaking realism. Wonderful work - as always!
Hugs
Birgit
Dear Ilona,

Dear Ilona, you never cease to Amaze me! Your hydrangea is so perfect, I had to look twice to see what scale it was!!! I know just how slow this is, because I still only have five of my lilac blossoms done! LOL! I know you will finish your hydrangeas before I get my lilacs done.... too many stories need to be finished too! Never enough time for all of it! As always, your work is very inspiring to me!!!
Joli travail! Beau résultat! Bonne continuation!
Bisous, Dominique
Hi Ilona
Once again your attention to detail is amazing on such tiny little petals, your hydrangeas are beautiful.

Hello Illona...Hydrangeas are one of my favorite plants...I have about 600 square feet of garden behind my house (tiny garden!), but I have 4 hydrangeas in that tiny space...I love them! So your latest couldn't help but be a hit with me.
That thimble is way cool! It works so well as a hydrangea pot...and you are right that the colors are incredible together. Always beautiful, your work!
Doug
Exquisite work, Ilona! Both the large and tiny ones have so much depth to them. Your basket is beautiful too! xo Jennifer
It's always a pleasure to see your flowers. I love them in every pot you chose
to display them. They look very elegant in the beautiful porcelain vase. They look more country style in the lovely copper thimble and in the very lovely basket. A feast for my eyes.
Hugs, Drora
Ilona, I am speechless! My cheek is down and my moth wide open. Ilona, is there anything you can not make!? Your flowers are like real ones! Real beauties. <3 That is all I can say this time.
-Have a lovely Sunday! :)
They are just beautiful Ilona! I love these flowers in miniature, so time consuming, but very worth it. You've made them perfectly, with the varying tones, I think that really shows how special they are! I love the little thimble too, what a great find.
I'm in LOVE!!! Your work is OUTSTANDING and these hydrangeas are simply INCREDIBLE in ALL of their colors.
Hydrangeas are one of my garden favourites, because of the colours they produce. You work is beautifull!
