graad of 14-15 oC én heerlijke zonneschijn.
eerste citroenvlinder, http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citroenvlinder :D!!
;)!
Yesterday we had a little foretaste of spring here in The
Netherlands, it was about 14-15 oC and lovely sunshine. While I was in the
garden looking at my spring flowers (snowdrops, crocuses), there was fluttering
something around me: the first Brimstone, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonepteryx_rhamni
Oh dear, I hope it wasn’t a mistake of this butterfly ;)!
She really loves to play with the dashboard of her baby walker.
I tried to make all the details on the dashboard out of fimo clay and after that I have painted an impression of all the even more smaller details with acrylic paint. It has to be varnished yet, but I have first taken a picture, because otherwise there will be a glare after the varnishing.
Looking at the 16 mm 1-euro cent you can see how small the details on the dashboard are.
Bedankt allemaal voor jullie reacties/goede wensen n.a.v.

First treat your cough (for mini flowers is not very convenient to be a cold)
Trotter and steering wheel are really successful (it is very small) and your always adorable little girl
that pretty green butterfly (is it a Martian?) :-)
good evening
So nice !!!
Groetjes Xandra
Dear Ilona,
You do such fine work, and so tiny..
I am sorry to hear you are still coughing. I hope you are better soon.
Thank you for you visit and kind words. As to your question about needle felting over a wire armature. Good question!
As you can see in one of the photos, I wrap the wire with yarn, then wrap wool around and then I start needle felting.
I start going very slow and careful so as to not hit the wire with the needle... Once I have built it up a little, I can go faster.. Not to say that I have never broke a needle.. I have broke a few over the years, but I just pull it out and get another felting needle..
I hope this answers your question dear Ilona..
I will say a prayer that you are well soon.
blessings,
Penny

I hope the butterfly means warm spring days stay with you and help your cough clear up. You haven't wasted your time! The dashboard and baby walker are brilliant!
It's brown with a green and red scarf and it flutters... and it will be nagging me saying "But I wanted to send Ilona that healthy bonbon for her recovery and you said it would take too long"... *sigh* I'm sorry to hear you're still coughing - I keep my fingers crossed for a recovery faster than a ray of light now. Your newest toy miniature looks impressive as always, your toddler can be glad to have you as her master supplier! ;O)
Hugs
Birgit
Besos:-)
When I first looked at it I had no idea it was fimo. Your details are really on target!
Ilona, you are a Magician with the Fimo clay! The little walker toy is unbelievable! Your little toddler looks happy playing with it!
I hope your cough gets better soon... it is no fun to be sick... and keeps you from making perfect flowers! :(
As for the butterfly.... they must know when to come out.... Spring is almost here... well, not HERE... it is still Very Cold over here!
Fabulous photo of the butterfly. I do hope your cough goes away soon.
Ilona, I am sorry to hear you don't feel well. I wish you to get well as fast as it is possible and keep creating beautiful and impressive flowers! The spring has arrived! How nice! It will bring a lot of inspiration! Mini hugs, Natalia

Hi Ilona! Wow, that baby walker and dashboard are so tiny and so cute! The amount of detail you have got on there is amazing, so colorful too!
A measuring rule with inches on it? You must have got that from England!
Kind regards, Brian.
Hi Ilona! The baby walker is unbelievable! All those tiny painted details - did you use a loup light for them??? We have the same weather here and spend the afternoons outside enjoying the sun and fresh air :-) Spring - we are ready for you!!!
Hugs, Sandra
Your baby walker with a dashboard =
Ilona's guaranteed work! Always so adorable! ♥
We also saw something yellow today. :)
The Sun!!!

Queda muy bien y es pequeñito, pequeñito. Perfecto para el bebé
The walker is so cute! It has such tiny details... beautiful!
Hope you get well soon! Me and my daughter is still coughing too...
Your toy is so wonderful, great details!
Hannah
Poor Ilona... still in the hands of the bad cough. I wisch you all the best and get well soon.

Oh, yes! Nature is perfect. What a beautiful butterfly camouflaged!
The baby items are great!
Hugs.
Your baby walker is fantastic. Lucky little girl having someone able to make such wonderful toys :)))
I hope your cough is gone very soon. Take care.
Hugs Maria
How sweet of you to come over to see the mini Anita.. I truly enjoyed making her, and I know she will be loved. Your words are too kind, but thank you so much.
I am so happy you were able to visit ~Nowhere~ a place that we play and just have fun with our art and words... I laughed myself silly over the banter between Rattus and Tea Rat.
blessings,
Penny
Another phenomenal clay toy from you! Your skills never cease to amaze me! :)
Coughing is very bad for mini making. I hope it leaves very quickly. I'm feeling better. I'm off my crutches! Still limping though. 'I love the baby toy. I'm always amazed by how you can make it look so perfect.
It's cold here in Texas. We even had ice fall and coat the roads Sunday. The day before it was hot and I was wearing shorts. That's Texas! :)
hugs♥,
Caroline
This is great! As you know, I normally prefer old fashioned toys, but you really did a great job with this baby walker. I like it a lot.
Andrea
Dear Ilona, I'm sure the cough already left you. I had to deal with mine for weeks and it's definitely bad for flower making with petals and leaves flying around every time you sneeze or cough.
The walker and dashboard are a work of art. Unbelievable tiny. I love them as much as the adorable toddler does.
Hugs, Drora
