Lezen van een damestasje? / Reading of a ladies bag?

Het schijnt dat er mensen zijn die de inhoud van een damestas kunnen “lezen” en daarmee ook de persoonlijkheid van de eigenaar van deze tas……..geen idee of dat waar is.

Ik denk dat ze met mij snel klaar zullen zijn, want ik draag niet graag een tas. Omdat die snel een dumpplaats wordt van wat anderen aan mij vragen te bewaren voor hen, zoals mannen graag doen met autopapieren ;)! Dus als het niet nodig is: geen tas voor mij :D!

It seems that there are people, who can do a “reading” of the content of a ladies bag and that way also can read the personality of its owner…….I have no idea if it’s true.

I think that they won’t need much time for me, because I don’t like carrying a handbag. It often becomes a repository of things for others, who are asking me to keep things for them, like men do with the carpapers ;)! So if it is not necessary: no handbag for me :D!

…..that handbag was beautiful and I’ve tried to make one in miniature.

Eerst heb ik een gebroken witte tas gemaakt, maar ik vond de leerprint op het papier niet mooi, het was veel te grof. Dus nadat ik een restje zwart slangenprint papier had gevonden heb ik dat gebruikt voor de zwarte handtas, het ziet er veel beter uit, vind ik.

Firstly I made the off-white handbag, but I didn’t like the leather pattern on the paper, it was far too coarse. So after I found a leftover of a black snake print paper I used it for the black handbag, I think it looks much better.

Ik maakte er wat accessoires bij, zoals handschoenen, portemonnee, mobieltje en een tablet (zelfgemaakte printjes van internetfoto's).

I made some accessories, like gloves, wallet, mobile phone and a tablet (self made printies of internet pictures).

Nu nog wat anders...../ Now just something else.....

In augustus heb ik bij Patricia Cabrera (haar blog is www.woolytalesminiatures.blogspot.com ) wat boerderijdieren besteld voor een project, waaraan ik voorlopig nog niet kan beginnen.

Patricia is een erg aardige vrouw en ze maakt de prachtigste miniatuur dieren, het zijn echte kunstwerken! Kijk zelf maar eens op haar blog rond, als je wilt. Het is een beetje rustig op haar blog, maar ik denk dat ze druk is voor de komende show in november….?

Toen het pakket arriveerde vond ik onder andere dit schattige baby ezeltje in een van de doosjes, die met een prachtige strik waren versierd. Dit ezeltje kreeg direct de naam van Suzanne. Waarom? Nou, dat vertel ik nog wel in een andere blogpost :D!

For a future project I’ve ordered in August a few farm animals from Patricia Cabrera (her blog is www.woolytalesminiatures.blogspot.com ) But I can’t start yet for a while.

Patricia is a very kind lady and she creates the most beautiful miniature animals, they are real work of arts! Please, look on her blog, if you wish to. It is a bit quiet on her blog, but I think she is busy for a coming show in November….?

So when the package arrived I also found this lovely baby donkey in one of the boxes, which were decorated with a beautiful bow.This baby donkey immediately got the name Suzanne. Why? Well, I’ll tell you in an other blogpost :D!

Dit weekend was ik op een hobby tentoonstelling om mijn miniatuur creaties te laten zien aan anderen. Het was in een klein buurtschap vlakbij de Duitse grens en ik dacht dat er misschien niet veel bezoekers zouden komen, maar jeetje, dat had ik goed mis! Het was een mooie dag met heel veel bezoekers en ik heb er enorm van genoten :D! Er waren bovendien ook veel mensen, die nog nooit van onze hobby gehoord hadden. Ik vond het heerlijk om daarover te mogen vertellen en om ze ook mijn miniatuurwerk te mogen laten zien. Dank aan iedereen, die even de tijd nam om ook mijn werk te komen bekijken :D!!

This weekend I was on a craft exhibition in order to show my miniature creations to other people. It was in a small hamlet a few meters from the German border and I thought there shouldn’t come much visitors, but oh dear, I was wrong! It was a nice day with lots of visitors and I've enjoyed it very much :D! There also were so many people, who never had heard of our hobby and of course I was so happy to tell them about making miniatures and to be there for showing them my miniature work. Thanks to everyone, who stopped by to see my work too :D!!

Tenslotte wil ik iedereen bedanken voor de enorme “hoosbui” aan reacties op mijn regenlaarzen en paraplu’s, toen had ik écht een paraplu nodig, hemeltje lief, wat was dat een warme douche: zó leuk :D!

Te koop / For sale

Dit bericht gaat over de verkoop van mijn miniaturen. Ik laat in bijna elk bericht mijn eigen gemaakte miniaturen zien waar ik veel leuke en/of positieve reacties op krijg. Dat had ik helemaal niet verwacht en ik was er erg door verrast vorig jaar na de start van mijn blog. 

Velen van jullie denken dat ik die miniaturen voor eigen projecten maak en gedeeltelijk is dat ook zo.

Door de vele positieve reacties heb ik besloten om mijn miniaturen te gaan verkopen. In het vervolg zet ik berichten op mijn blog, waarin ik duidelijk zal vermelden wat te koop is en wat niet.

Ik maak miniaturen, waarvan er maar één is en géén series van hetzelfde!!

U kunt me altijd vragen of ik iets wil proberen te maken, maar als het me niet lukt geef ik de opdracht terug. Ik wil niet werken onder tijdsdruk, want ik houd ervan om met plezier te werken in mijn eigen tempo.

This post is about selling my miniatures. In nearly every post I’ve showed my home made miniatures and I’ve got very kind and positive comments on my work. I didn’t expect so much encouragement of you all after starting this blog at the end of last year and therefore I was very surprised. 

Many of you think I make my miniatures for my own projects, partially you are right.

I decided after so many positive comments to sell my miniatures. From now on I will post my messages in which I clearly show you what is for sale.

I only make one of a kind miniatures and no series of the same!!

Feel free to ask me if I can try something out for you, but I won’t work under time pressure. I love to work with pleasure and to my own pace.

Een voorbeeld van een vraag is dat Vicky mij eens had gevraagd of ik misschien een paar staartmezen kon maken. Dat kostte me veel tijd en geduld, maar zoals jullie hebben gezien (in mijn vorige post): het is me nog gelukt ook!

Trouwens deze staartmezen zijn nu te koop, ze kosten euro 20,00 per stuk. Dit is exclusief de verzendkosten voor aangetekende post , de verzendkosten zijn dus altijd voor de koper. Ik ben namelijk een keer wat miniaturen kwijtgeraakt door te versturen via de normale post.

For example: in my last post I wrote about Vicky, how she asked me if I could probably make some tailed tits. It took me a lot of time and patience, but like you’ve seen (in my last post): I’ve managed to do so!

Moreover  these tailed tits are for sale now, the price is euro 20,00 per piece.  This is the prize without the shipping costs for registered mail. The shipping costs are always for the buyer of my work. (I only send by registered mail because I’ve lost some of my miniatures with sending via the general post).

Voor een speciale blogvriendin heb ik deze melkmachine gemaakt (deze is voor koeien, want ze zijn er  voor allerlei dieren). Het was een hele uitdaging om het te ontwerpen én uit te vinden hoe ik het kon maken, maar het is me gelukt :D!

Patricia (kijk eens op haar fantastische blog: www.woolytalesminiatures.blogspot.com ) is een zeer getalenteerde aardige kunstenares, die o.a. prachtige miniatuur dieren maakt, het zijn stuk voor stuk grote kunstwerken!!

I’ve made this (cow) milking machine for a special blogfriend.  It was quite a challenge to design and to find out how to make this, but I did it :D!

Patricia (take a look at her fantastic blog: www.woolytalesminiatures.blogspot.com ) is a very talented and kind person, who is an artisan in creating the most gorgeous miniature animals, they really are artworks!!

Deze koe (hier boven) is natuurlijk mijn schat ;)!!  

This gorgeous cow (on the picture above) is my treasure, of course ;)!!

 Ik heb een paar maanden geleden deze prachtige roodbonte koe van Patricia gekocht. De koe is van haar neus tot aan het puntje van haar staart werkelijk prachtig gemaakt. Zij heeft zelfs horens (in Amerika hebben ze dat niet), oormerken, dromerige ogen en een natte neus; zulke prachtige details die het tot dit kunstwerk maken!!

We hebben wat over en weer gemaild over alle details betreffende het maken van de koe en ze had het er terloops over dat ze zo’n melkmachine graag in miniatuur zou willen hebben. Zo is bij mij het plan ontstaan om dit eens te proberen te maken voor haar. Omdat ik graag zonder tijdsdruk werk, kreeg ik van haar alle tijd (het kostte me 3 maanden!) en na veel mislukkingen is het toch gelukt er eentje voor haar te maken.  Deze melkmachine is dus al verkocht!

 A few months ago I bought this gorgeous red and white cow of Patricia. The cow is really beautifully made from her nose to the tip of her tail. She even has horns (in America cows don’t have horns), ear marks, the dreamy eyes and the really wet nose; so many gorgeous details of this art work!!

We’ve emailed about all details for making this cow and  she wrote to me she once would love to have this type of milking machine for cows. This way my plan was born to give it a try and to make her one. Because I love to work without timepressure, I got all the time I needed of her for this job (it took me 3 months!) and after many failures I managed to make her this machine. 

So this milking machine is already sold!

Vlinderkastjes / Butterfly boxes

Hallo allemaal,

Afgelopen tijd veel miniaturen gemaakt voor de expo in mei. Onder andere deze vlinderkastjes, waarvan  een kastje naar Spanje is "gevlogen" ;) In deze vlinderkastjes kunnen vlinders overnachten of overwinteren tussen de takjes die je er in kunt doen.

In the past weeks I created many miniatures for the exposition in May. Inter alia these butterfly boxes, but one of these boxes has already "flown" to Spain ;) In these wooden boxes butterflies can stay during the night or the cold winter among the twigs. You can put these twigs in the boxes.

Poes in het mandje / Cat basket

Allereerst dank aan al mijn nieuwe volgers: 42 !! Het loopt storm ;) hier!

Afgelopen weekend een warm mandje gemaakt voor de poes. Het is ook zo koud buiten, dus een lekker bontvelletje voor hem erin gelegd ;)

Past days I've wickered a warm basket for the cat. It is so cold outside, so I've put a little warm fur in the basket for him ;)

Koolmezen, vogelhuisje en pindasnoer / Great titmice, birdhouse and peanutcord

Vandaag voor het eerst aan miniatuurvogels gewerkt met een lach op mijn gezicht vanwege de Engelse vertaling van koolmezen. Ik heb hiervoor Fimoklei gebruikt en wat acrylverf voor accenten. Ik ben tevreden met het resultaat.

Today I've worked on miniature birds with a big smile on my face because of the English name for this birds: great titmice or also called great tits! ;) I've made them of polymer clay en some acryl paint and I'm very happy with the result.
