Om het oude jaar af te sluiten en het nieuwe jaar in te gaan, heb ik wat foto’s uit de oude doos opgediept. Nu het maken van nieuwe miniaturen al een poos stil ligt, heb ik geen nieuw materiaal om te laten zien dus vandaar….

 

To close the old year and start the new year, I dug up some photos from the old box. Now that the making of new miniatures has been on hold for a while, I have no new material to show so that's why...

Handtas van tante Doortje, vol gepakt met schone onderbroeken vanwege het vele lachen😉

Auntie Doortje's handbag, packed with clean underwear, because of the lots of laughter 😉

Hier is een nieuwjaar tafereel uit mijn miniatuur boerderij: in de keuken zijn opa, oma, Kleine Ikke (ikzelf toen ik klein was), en op visite is tante Doortje, die altijd maar moet lachen tot tranen aan toe!

Here is a New Year's scene from my miniature farm: in the kitchen are grandpa, grandma, Little Me (me when I was little), and visiting them is aunt Doortje, who always has to laugh until she is in tears!

Fles advocaat, de toef slagroom en de verse 'kniepertjes' zijn gemaakt door mij van Fimoklei, glaasje is gemaakt door de Nederlandse glasblazer Leo Reinders, bordje is op een miniaturen beurs gekocht.

Bottle of eggnog, the whipped cream and the fresh baked 'kniepertjes' are made by me out of Fimo clay, eggnog glass is made by Dutch glassblower Leo Reinders, plate was bought at a miniature fair.

Op tafel staat een bord vers gebakken “kniepertjes” (een soort wafeltje, het is een aloude traditie gebakken met oud en nieuw)

On the table is a plate of freshly baked "kniepertjes" (a kind of waffle, in this region it is an old tradition baked on New Year's Eve)

Ik hoop in het nieuwe jaar weer miniaturen te gaan maken, want ik mis het enorm. Ook ben ik blij om weer in de blogwereld te zijn, gelukkig zijn een aantal van jullie daar nog steeds.

In the new year I hope to start making miniatures again, because I miss it terribly. I am also happy to be back in the blog world, luckily some of you are still there.
