Jaaa, ik heb het gevonden! / Yess, I’ve found it!

Kunnen jullie je nog herinneren dat ik voor in mijn bedstee een patchwork denkentje heb gemaakt? Ik heb toen aan jullie gevraagd of iemand misschien het blog kende, waarop de tutorial stond, die ik toen gebruikt heb, maar niemand wist het. Afgelopen weekend heb ik bij toeval weer ontdekt waar die duidelijke tutorial stond, het was het blog van Gill, hier is de link: http://makeitsmall.blogspot.ca/2011/01/patchwork-tutorial.html

Do you remember that I've made a patchwork blanket for in my cupboard cabinet (bedstee)? I’ve then asked if someone knew on which blog the tutorial was, which I’ve used, but no one could help me. Last weekend I've found again this blog with the tutorial, it was on Gill's blog:

Ik ben nu bezig met het naaien van een patchwork dekentje voor een lieve vriendin, die het echt verdient :D! Nee, ik noem geen namen, maar ik denk dat ze het wel zal zien, want ze volgt ook mijn blog.

Eerst werden er kleurige lapjes uitgekozen, iets wat volgens haar echt moeilijk was, maar ze heeft prima hulp gehad bij haar keuze.

Na overleg mocht ik gelukkig lapjes van 2 x 2 cm gebruiken in plaats van 1 x 1 cm, iets waar ik wel heel blij mee was :D! Want ik heb het momenteel erg druk met van alles en nog wat……tja, wie niet ;)?

I am now busy with sewing a patchwork blanket for a dear friend, who really deserves it :D! No, I won’t say who it is, but I think she will see it, because she follows my blog too.

First the colored patches were chosen, that was something what was quite difficut for her, but she got great help for her choice.

After consultation I was allowed to use 2 x 2 cm instead of 1 x 1 cm patches, I can tell you that I was very happy with this :D! Because at the moment I am very busy with lots of things…….well, who is not ;)?

Bij het snijden van 80 gekleurde vierkantjes kreeg ik wat hulp van een paar jongens, die verondersteld waren in bed te liggen om te slapen…….;)!

While I was cutting the 80 patches I got some help of some guys, who were supposed to be in bed to sleep…….;)!

Ach, het was best lief van ze, dus heb ik ze maar laten doen. Schepje is het sneeuwmanbeertje, gemaakt door Birgit van http://biwubaer.blogspot.com en Barney, zijn vriendje, is gemaakt door Melli van www.pippibaerenbande.blogspot.com Tegenwoordig wonen ze tijdelijk samen in een verlicht ijsklontje (=SYNAS) à la Ikea :D!!

Well, it was quite sweet of them, so I let them do it. Schepje is the snowman beary, made ​​by Birgit http://biwubaer.blogspot.com and Barney, his friend, was created by Melli www.pippibaerenbande.blogspot.com Nowadays they live temporarily together in an illuminated small ice cube (=SYNAS) à la Ikea : D!

Schepje vond het nodig om Barney uit te leggen wat ik aan het doen was en om de lapjes een voor een aan te geven…..

Gezien door de loeplamp / Seen by the magnifier lamp

Elke lapje komt met ongeveer 20-23 steekjes vast te zitten aan alle vier de kanten van het lapje aan een ander lapje, behalve aan de kanten natuurlijk. Ik heb nog maar niet uitgerekend hoeveel steekjes ik nog moet doen: héél wat, denk ik ;)!

Every patch is sewed with about 20-23 stitches at all four sides of one patch to sew it at another patch, except for the ones at the outsides, of course. I didn’t count how many stitches I have to make yet: it will be quite a lot, I think ;)!

Voorlopig heb ik door allerlei oorzaken helaas niet al te veel tijd voor miniaturen maken, ik probeer zoveel mogelijk jullie blogs te lezen en een reactie achter te laten.
