Spectaculair kleurenpalet / Spectacular blaze of colors

The staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina) is a flowering plant and especially in autumn the leaves have a spectacular color scheme.

In my regio there are quite a lot of these plants and I thought it would be a nice challenge to make a plant with such a spectacular color gradation. The colors of yellow, a whiff of green, orange and pinkish red can occur. The burgundy colored flower heads look like they’re made of velvet, therefore here, in The Netherlands, this plant is often called a ‘velvet tree’ (literally translated into English).

The above picture is taken this evening, when there was just a last glimse of sunshine between the dark clouds. I used this awesome opportunity for photographing my new plant in front of the glass curtains, therefore you can see the glimmering in the fabric of the curtains. This way you can also see better the veins in the leaves.
Thank you for your nice comments, have a nice week!
