Hier hebben we al een aantal dagen het mooiste lenteweer wat
er bestaat: mooie blauwe luchten en veel warm zonlicht, heerlijk! Wat heerlijk
om dat tijdens mijn rustperiode te krijgen, wat kan een mens daarvan genieten
:D! Zo langzamerhand begin ik weer wat meer uit te rusten, maar ik ga nog niet
andere blogs lezen. Sorry mensen, eerst wil ik helemaal rust houden om mijn
gezondheid te verbeteren (mijn hooikoorts en allergieën plagen me behoorlijk,
net als elk jaar overigens) en dan zien we wel weer, toch ;)?!
Here, in The Netherlands, we have the most beautiful spring
weather there is: lovely blue skies and lots of warm sunshine, just lovely! Oh,
I just love to enjoy this lovely weather during my period of rest :D! Bit by
bit I'm recovering from my busy work to get everything ready for the show, but
I won’t reading other blogs yet. Sorry people, but first of all I want to take
my rest, to get my health well again (my allergies and hayfever is teasing me
very much, just like every year) and then we’ll see what we do, huh ;)?!
Geruime tijd terug heb ik met Fimo klei en garen een aantal artisjok bloemen
gemaakt, ik had ze tijdens de DHN-show ook bij me. Het probleem met deze bloemen
was dat ik ze qua kleur niet goed op de foto kreeg. Alles wat ik deed was
verkeerd: op de foto’s bleken ze knalblauw te zijn en niet die typische kleur,
die bij een bloem van een artisjok hoort: blauwpaars.
Some time ago I made some artichoke flowers out of Fimo clay and thread,
I also took them with me to the DHN show. The problem with photographing these
flowers was that the color wasn't showing very well on the pictures. All of
what I did was wrong: they always showed bright blue at the pictures and not
their typical color, blue purple, or red purple, which belongs to a flower of an artichoke.
Tijdens de foto-shoot op de DHN-show heb ik eens aan de
fotografe gevraagd hoe ik dat moest doen. Het antwoord was: in goed zonlicht
fotograferen. Dáár had ik nog helemaal niet aan gedacht. Vanmiddag scheen hier het
zonnetje uitbundig, dus heb ik eindelijk wat betere foto’s van mijn bloemen van
de artisjok kunnen maken!! Ik moet eerlijk bekennen dat het resultaat een stuk
beter is, maar dat de kleur nog een tikkeltje te blauw is, in het echt zit er
een beetje roodpaars in de harten van de bloemen. Maar ja, je kunt niet alles weten/hebben, hè ;)!?
During the photo shoot of some of my miniatures at the
DHN-show, I’ve asked the photographer how to make better pictures of
miniatures, which have a blue purple color. The answer was: photograph them in
bright sunlight. Well, that was something I'd never thought of. So the sun
shone exuberantly this afternoon and I could finally take some better pictures
of my flowers of the artichoke!! I have to confess that the result is much
better, but I think the color is still a bit too blue yet. In reality you can
see a little bit of red purple in the hearts of the flowers. Ah well, you can’t
know/have everything, isn’t it ;)!?
De mand is gemaakt door mij, de borden kregen zelfgemaakte 'decals' en het verroeste teiltje is gekocht, maar ik weet echt niet meer waar, sorry.
Oké, ik ben weer weg, ik wilde jullie eindelijk mijn bloemen
van de artisjok laten zien ;)!

The basket is made by me, the plates got from me self made 'decals' of artichokes and the rusted tub is bought, but sorry, I don't remember where it was.
