In Amsterdam, at the foot of the Munt Tower along the Singel
canal, are a lot "greenhouses" (a kind of glass kiosks, see the red circle). The
merchants sell there their flower bulbs, inter alia to tourists, but of course
also for the Dutchmen ;)! Some time ago I looked around in those kiosks, it was
wonderful to see so many different kinds of flower bulbs (and normal plants)
together.
Now it is the highest time to put some flower bulbs into the
ground, which shall give us a colorful splendor in coming spring.
It was a very good idea to look around on that flower market
at that time, especially because a few months ago I found a commission into my
mailbox for making two hot pink cyclamen………
…..a red amaryllis plant and a amaryllis bulb with a small
green sprout. It was a lot of work to cut all those small leaves, but now I've
managed to make them, here they are :D!
A few months ago I really needed a break of making miniature
flowers, so I then decided all to make two beehives and the stand/table for
these beehives, who also belonged to the same commission. You have already seen
them at that time in a previous blog post. Now I am happy I have finished this
commission and I want to show them to you together with the plants/flowers.
And of course, for you all a bouquet of colorful dahlias from Amsterdam :D!!
hele fijne week toegewenst!
A warm welcome to my new followers :D!
I wish you all a
great week!
