bloemen/planten maken. Hier is mijn ‘collectie’ van vintage kerstversiering…..let
op, het wordt een fotobommetje ;O!!
During this week just before the Christmas holidays we’re all busy, so me
too…..with finishing some miniatures ;O!
These past few weeks I kept myself busy with making
Christmas decorations in miniature, for a moment of variety while making
miniature flowers/plants. So, here’s my ‘collection’ of vintage Christmas
decorations…beware,lots of pictures ;O!
Last weekend I totally unexpectedly visited the Christmas market in Soest (Germany), I've had a very cozy day. In the booth of Elisabeth Elsner v. Gronow I bought a mouth blown Christmas bauble in the shape of this lovely mushroom.
Maybe a nice example for making it in mini.....;O??
I hope you can see the spring clip for clamping it on the branch of the Christmas tree??
And a silver tiny bird may not be missing in the Christmas tree, right??
Teeny tiny hooks in a paper bag for hanging the Christmas baubles and their storage box
De piek ;)!
In The Netherlands we place on top of the Christmas tree a so called "piek"
(I don't know the English word for it.)
This Christmas garland is designed and made by me.
I'm planning to write a tutorial of how to make it, so be patient, please.
While I was stirring in the 'cooking' mass, a tiny heart appeared, yes, it's made with love ;O
…and whilst making a trip to making miniatures, other than
plants, I also made a aluminum cooking pan for my miniature Granny. I've found
a cap of a wine bottle, which was just perfect for this job, sanded off the
paint and gave it handles and a fitting lid, which I made from another bottle
cap. After that I've filled it with glass paint, glue and no hole beads in
different sizes, mixed everything together, ready for cooking! The wooden spoon
is selfmade, it’s cut from a piece of wood. Now my granny can cook a delicious
compote of cranberries, delicious for at the Christmas diner table ;)!
And final I've pimped a head of a deer, bought it at the garden centre, I thought it may be nice for hanging the miniature Christmas baubles in the antlers.
Thank you for your comments, have a nice week!
Ilona
