Ik heb nog nèt, voor het einde van het jaar, huisgemaakte
advocaat kunnen maken voor mijn mini Oma. Ze kan dit ‘vrouwendrankje’ serveren aan
haar nieuwjaarsvisite, die met Nieuwjaarsdag zeker zullen komen met hun beste
wensen voor het nieuwe jaar. In de jaren ’50 was dit drankje populair onder de
dames, dus moest ik dit echt in ’t miniatuur voor haar maken. En natuurlijk mét
een flinke toef slagroom, want dat hoort er bij, (zelfgemaakt) lepeltje erin en
klaar voor consumptie 😉!
Just in time, and before the end of the year, I've made
homemade "advocaat" (a sort of alcoholic drink/eggnog)for my mini
Grandma. On New Year’s Day she can serve this drink to her visitors, who will
come with their best wishes for the New Year. In the 50s this alcoholic drink
was popular among the ladies, so I really had to make this in miniature for
her. And, of course, this drink has on top a huge amount of whipped cream, this
is common here, in The Netherlands. Together with a self made tiny spoon, it's
now ready to eat 😉!
Zoals je ziet, er heeft al iemand van gesnoept ;)

Samen met een soort dunne wafeltjes, ‘kniepertjes’ genaamd (dat is een traditioneel soort gebak in sommige streken van Nederland, zoals hier in de Achterhoek),
zullen haar bezoekers op wat lekkers getrakteerd worden.
Wafeltjes/kniepertjes, de advocaat, toef slagroom en het
flesje advocaat zijn allen door mijzelf gemaakt van Fimoklei. Het kleine
lepeltje is geknipt uit een stukje aluminium (waxinelicht). Het 5 mm hoge (jenever)glaasje
is gemaakt door Leo Reijnders, een Nederlandse glasblazer. Het plastic
schaaltje heb ik onlangs op een miniaturenbeurs gekocht bij een Engelse stand,
waarvan ik helaas de naam niet weet.
Together with a sort of oublies, named ‘kniepertjes’ (that is a traditional type of pastry in some regions of the Netherlands, such as here in the Achterhoek), her visitors will get real treats.
Oublies/’kniepertjes’, the eggnog, dot of whipped cream and
the bottle of eggnog are all made by me, out of Fimo clay. The tiny spoon is
cut out of a piece of aluminum (tea light). The 5 mm high tiny (gin) glass is
made by a Dutch glass blower, Leo Reijnders. The plastic bowl is bought on a
miniatures fair, from a English standholder, ofwhich I unfortunately don’t know
their name.
Dit is Tante Doortje, een zelfgemaakt, nieuwe pop, binnenkort
schrijf ik meer over haar.
