Als je iets in miniatuur gemaakt hebt, wil je er graag even ‘mee
spelen’, toch? Nou, op die manier is de titel van dit bericht ontstaan (ik hoop
alleen dat het goed geschreven is in het Spaans??).
Een week of drie geleden kwam ik op de weekmarkt bij de
bloemenman Chrysanten tegen van een speciale soort: Chrysanthemum ‘Fuego’
genaamd. De bloemblaadjes hebben aan elke zijde een andere kleur: van buiten
geel, de binnenkant is roestbruin/rood gekleurd. Ik vond dat zo apart, dat ik
er meteen aan dacht om zoiets in miniatuur proberen te maken.
When you’ve made something in miniature, you want to ‘play’ with
it for awhile, isn’t it? Well, this way the title of my blog post arose (I just
hope that I wrote it right in Spanish??).
A week of three ago I was visiting the week market as I came
along the flower stall where I saw Chrysanthemums of a special sort: named
Chrysanthemem ‘Fuego”. The flower petals have different colors at both sides:
outside is yellow, inside the petals are colored in a rusty brown/red. I
thought it was so special, that I immediately wanted to try this in miniature.

Na verschillende pogingen had ik één bloem klaar en heb ik het in een vaas gezet, gemaakt door Elisabeth Causeret.
Ik vond het er een beetje ‘kaal’ uitzien, zo’n bloem alleen
in de vaas. En op de markt had ik gezien dat ze ook een tak eikenblad bij deze
boeketten Chrysanten hadden gevoegd. Dus
ben ik op de fiets gestapt om te gaan kijken naar het herfstblad van de
Amerikaanse eik. Momenteel staan de vele eikenbomen, hier in mijn regio, volop
in het kleurrijke herfstblad, dus dat fietstochtje duurde niet lang.
After several attempts I had one flower ready and I put it in a
vase, made by Elisabeth Causeret.
I thought it looked a bit ‘bare’, just one flower in the
vase. And on the week market I’d seen that they also added oak leaves to these
bouquets of these Chrysantemums. So I took out my bike to look at the autumn
foliage of the American oak. Currently the many oak trees, here in my region,
are full of colorful autumn leaves, so that my bike ride didn't last long.
Ik maakte er nog een Chrysant bij dus dit is het resultaat
van mijn pogingen om dit soort Chrysant met eikenblad te maken. Het was nog best
moeilijk om te doen, maar ik ben tevreden J.

I’ve added an other Chrysanthemum flower, so this is the
result of my attempts of making this sort of Chrysanthemum with oak leaves. It
was quite hard to do, but I’m satisfied J.
