Vakantie en genieten van de
zomer. Deze week zeggen de weerberichten wordt het écht zomer in Nederland.
Reden voor mij om mijn antieke strandstoel buiten én op de foto te zetten. Deze strandstoel heb ik vorige zomer zelf ontworpen en gemaakt.
Ooit
heb ik een potje strandzand meegenomen en samen met wat drijfhout heb ik dat gebruikt
voor een strandscène. De lucht is hier prachtig zomers blauw, maar in mijn
achtertuin lukte het me niet om die ook op de foto te krijgen. Ik heb een
ladder geprobeerd en allerlei andere trucs, maar het enige wat wél lukte was de
aandacht krijgen van de buren……:D!!
In de stoel liggen een Burberry plaid, een gebreide sjaal voor als het
koeler wordt en een zijden tas (alles zelf gemaakt), waarop ik nadien wat zijden bloemen
heb geborduurd. Terwijl de kinderen ezeltje rijden, gaat Mams fijn wat lezen. De boeken

liggen te wachten in de stoel, de wind speelt met de pagina’s………even heerlijk
ontspannen!!
Holiday and enjoying the
summer. This week the weather forecast tells us it will be real summerweather in
Holland. Reason for me to put my antique beachchair outside in the garden for
taking some pictures. This beachchair is designed and handmade by me last summer.
I’d ever took a little jar full of beach sand home and
together with some driftwood I used it for a beach scene. The sky is wonderful
blue over here, but in my backyard I couldn’t get it on the pictures. I tried
to use a ladder and some other tricks, but the only thing that worked was to get
attention of my neighbours……:D!
In the beachchair are a Burberry plaid, a knitted shawl if it cools down
a bit and a silk bag with some embroidered flowers (all made by me). When the
children are enjoying of their ride on the easel, Mum has some free time for reading. The books (made by Caterina, go and see her fantastic blog: www.leminisdicockerina.blogspot.com)
are waiting for her, the wind plays with the pages………….just relax!!
