Bravo!! And the little pipe with all the blossoms for each child... what a sweet touch! The flask is just perfect... thank you for sharing your sources and techniques!!! I love every single bit of this project... but best of all is that it is really about your family history! That makes it so real and touching! :):):) Daydreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06170115485686244907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7651540619470591791.post-4102673768476541142019-05-16T15:15:59.635+02:002019-05-16T15:15:59.635+02:00Everything is wonderful! La plume de pan dans une bible me surprend. Pour moi, une plume de pan ne se ramasse pas car elle apporte le malheur... I would have loved to see your face! *grin* Theoretically this would have been typical for me... despite the fact that I would never even think of trying to create a peacock feather. *LOL* It was very interesting to learn about this bookmark tradition, reminded me of the Nazar pearls who are often referred to as the eyes of Allah and are supposed to keep away evil. To me this common use of beautiful peacock feathers is a sign that your country is a nation of proud overseas sailors. ;O) The makeover of the pipe is stunning too but what blew me away was the Eau de Cologne! Of course it had to be 4711... what else?! Having studied in Cologne for a while ages ago I'm familiar with the house in the Glockengasse 4711 in Cologne for sure. Oh, and that eel skin… you can really call it leather. In Wismar in Northern Germany we even have a designer (Ramona Stelzer) using fish leather for jewelry, I've seen a report about her on t.v. once and it was fascinating… a true case of trash to treasure. ;O) And now I'm curious to see what you're up to next! But whatever it is - have fun!

Hugs
BirgitBiWuBärhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16624262663621307478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7651540619470591791.post-56905516831788310482019-05-14T09:15:19.078+02:002019-05-14T09:15:19.078+02:00unos trabajitos perfectos, como siempre ...unos trabajitos perfectos, como siempre ...carmenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11546452831822041299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7651540619470591791.post-35184591207036520152019-05-14T08:58:10.831+02:002019-05-14T08:58:10.831+02:00Wow Ilona, the level of detail is amazing and you ...Wow Ilona, the level of detail is amazing and you are such a talented miniaturist but what I love the most is the story or history behind any of your creations.
