Sanseveria / Sansevieria

It seems that Sansevieria's are originally from Africa, for more information see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sansevieria
Sansevieria come in all sort of sizes and colors and they are easy to maintain. Since years they are well known as houseplants, nowadays you often see them returning in vintage interiors ;).

For the last DHN-show in April I had made a Sansevieria and it was sold right away. After it was sold, some visitors asked if I had more of these plants, so I made a few more and in different color nuances for the coming DHN-show in October.

They are painted with soft pastels, this way you can still paint them in the color of your liking.

Sorry, for the bad quality of colors on the pictures, here we have bad daylight at the moment.

(the old ramshackle watering can watering can is made by me, it is made of Fimo clay)

Don't give them too much water, because they dislike it. These plants are perfectly suitable for people, who do not have green fingers with REAL house plants, like me LOL ;)!!
A warm welcome to my new follower, thank you all for your nice comments.
Wishing you all a nice weekend :D!

Hallo Ilona,
Hoe prachtig!

These are fabulous - so realistic. I love the tiny yellow tip on one of the leaves which is what all my houseplants have!! Great work and I am sure they will all be snapped up immediately. Have a great weekend,

As always these wonderful plants (we call them mother-in-law tongues) are
exquisite. I love the withered tips in the first plant. It looks so real!
I love the fimo watering can. Thought it was metal before I read you note.
No wonder your plants are a hit at the shows. Good luck.
Hugs, Drora

They look Very Realistic Ilona and of course that is due to your gift for catching the essence of the plant as well as your eye for those extra little details- Beautifully done! :D

BiWuBär zei

No surprise these stunning miniature sanseverias sold so fast - of course they look awesome but on top... like the real ones they are so easy-going in a dollhouse because they fit almost everywhere whether it's a modern or an ancient project... and even witches wouldn't say no to a "Mother-in-Law-Tongue"... ;O)

Hallo Ilona,

Sansevieria!? We also know this plant as tongue of mother in law. :D
I like Sansevierias very much but I don't own any at the moment.
Your little ones looks beautiful! No wonder why you was asked to make more.
-I keep on enjoying summer. Though the last two weeks it have been very cold.
Now we are waiting for warmer days and rain. Today I planted some geraniums. :)
Summer greetings, piikko
